MIDLAND, TX - The BBB is asking consumers to think twice before they use their credit cards this holiday season. A new credit card scam called skimming is spreading across the state and nation.
Skimming is the theft of credit card information and it happens right in front of your eyes.
It’s when the merchant either swipes the card twice to steal money out of the register, saves card number details to use later or a third party card reading device is installed in the card swiping terminal, which takes your card information.
