Odessa - They've been lining up since Tuesday, shoppers preparing for deep discounts at west Texas stores.
This year doors are opening up earlier than ever before, leaving some to say the day that follows Thanksgiving is taking over the holiday.
We asked people if waiting in line took away from their Thanksgiving and some said that it did, others said no. However, they all agreed one thing, the deals are worth the wait.
Hurry up and wait, that's what shoppers have been doing all day; some have even been waiting for days.
"Gotta get that tv!" Danica Bugg said.
Generator, tent and blankets in tow, they say the Black Friday experience comes with Thanksgiving.
"This is what the consumer wants. They want to get here early," Lisa Bennett, the Odessa Target manager said.
"Oh yeah...everyone is usually done by 3pm," shopper Gwen Avis said.
However, there are others who say waiting is ruining their holiday.
"I think it takes away from family time, but here I am out here," Juanita Bryan said.
"A lot of people are out here and you really miss out on family time because you're waiting in line for the cool stuff," shopper Bryttani Fierro said.
Instead of missing out on quality time with the family, there are shoppers who bring Thanksgiving to their Black Friday.
"Bring the turkey and every thing out here!" Bryan said.
"We all bond out here, it's fun. My cousins just come for the fun of it," Fierro said.
Bennett says that they hope by opening earlier this year, they'll be able to attract more first time Black Friday shoppers.
Hopefully everyone will get that one thing they have their eye on.
