Patchy Fog This Morning 11/19/12
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Patchy dense fog is affecting parts of the area this morning, especially in areas that picked up measurable rainfall yesterday. Look for partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Highs will range from the mid to upper 70’s in most locations. A few spots in the Presidio Valley will hit 80 degrees. Winds will be out of the SW at 5-10mph this afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to be warmer through much of the week. Look for highs in the lower to mid 70’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, winds will shift back to the southeast. This will bring a return of surface moisture to West Texas. On Wednesday night, an upper level disturbance will move across the area. This will bring a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms to West Texas overnight Wednesday into early Thanksgiving morning. Any rainfall should be brief and will exit that area quickly.
Highs on Thanksgiving Day will rebound into the mid 70’s.
A cold front will drop into the area Thursday night. Expect highs in the 60’s on Friday with north winds in place across much of the region.
