MIDLAND, TX - A child is taken to the hospital after being hit outside a Midland elementary school this morning. Midland Police tell us it happened just before 8 am outside Burnet Elementary. Police say the child, a student at burnet, suffered minor injuries after being hit by the car but was transported to the E.R. as a precautionary measure. The driver of the car was cited for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.
