Thursday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Warm conditions are again expected today. Highs will reach into the mid 80’s to around 90 across SW Texas. Expect a few extra clouds to roll into the region this afternoon. Winds will be out of the south at 10-20mph.
Friday will be a little breezy. Highs will reach into the lower to mid 80’s for most. Clouds will continue to drift into the area as an upper level storm approaches from the northwest.
Saturday will be warm and breezy by November standards. Highs will be around 80. Winds will be out of the southwest at 15-25mph with higher gusts. A pacific cold front will move into the region on Saturday night. This will bring a brief chance of thunderstorms to West Texas as the front blows through.
On Sunday, temperatures will begin to cool as colder air from the north moves in. Expect highs only in the 60’s on Sunday. Overnight lows will fall into the 30’s overnight Sunday.
Highs on Monday are quite tricky. Right now, it appears that highs will struggle to get out of the 40’s. Temperatures will likely drop below freezing north of I-20 on Monday night.
