Breezy Winds Today... Warmer Tomorrow 11/5/12
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A cold front moving through West Texas this morning will bring a brisk northeast wind to the area through much of the day. Temperatures will still climb into the 70’s this afternoon. However, the winds might make it feel a bit cooler.
Winds will calm down this evening and skies will remain clear. Temperatures will drop quickly after sunset in response to this environment. Overnight lows will bottom out in the lower 40’s.
Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will come into play through much of the week. Highs will rebound into the upper 70’s on Tuesday and 80’s Wednesday through Saturday.
A large upper level storm system will dig into the South Plains this weekend. This will bring breezy winds and a slight chance of t-storms to the area on Sunday. As the storm passes to our north, cold air will surge south on the backside of the departing storm system. This will bring a shot of colder air to the forecast Sunday into early next week.
