Obama and Romney Back on the Campaign Trail--and Both Back on the Attack 11/1/12

Associated Press
November 1, 2012

ROANOKE, Virginia - Mitt Romney says President Barack Obama doesn't have a clue about business. The Obama campaign says Romney doesn't know what he's talking about.

At a rally in Virginia this morning, the Republican presidential nominee zeroed in on Obama's proposal to create a secretary of business. He said the country doesn't need "a secretary of business to understand business," but needs "a president who understands business."

Obama has floated the idea of the new post as a way to eliminate bureaucracy by consolidating nine agencies that now deal with business matters.

The Obama campaign shot back, accusing Romney of lurching "from false attack to false attack in the final days of this campaign." Spokeswoman Lis Smith says Obama is the candidate with a concrete plan to bolster the economy.
