Midland Aggravated Robbery Update 10/31/12

MIDLAND TX 10/31/2012 – On October 30, 2012, at approximately 3:47p.m., the Midland Police Department received a robbery in progress call at 3119 Roosevelt. When Officers arrived to the scene, they discovered that four young males (three Hispanic and one black, all possibly in their early twenties) had approached the victims, displayed rifles/ shotguns, and demanded money. The victims fled into their residence and closed the door behind them. The suspects had followed the victims into the house forcing the back door open. Once inside the house, the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fired a shot into the door of the bathroom, hitting one of the victims. The suspects then fled the scene toward the alleyway (possibly getting into a silver colored Van or SUV), leaving westbound. The victim suffered a gunshot wound that is not life threatening.
The investigation continues.
