Martin County - Firefighters responded to a tank battery explosion on FM 1212 about 3 miles south of Highway 176.
The explosion happened around 11:15pm Monday evening.
According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, one person was airlifted to Lubbock with severe burns from the explosion.
The Sheriff's Office says the man worked for Musslewhite Trucking in Lamesa.
His name has not been released, and the fire was put out by 2:30 Tuesday morning.
OSHA will be investigating what happened.
