Pecos County - Fresh water in Pecos County is at the maximum contaminate level according to the Commission on Environmental Quality.
The acceptable level of combined radium in fresh water is 5 pico curies per liter, Pecos County's water is at 6.
County Commissioners say the levels of radium in the water are not high enough to cause harm to anyone.
