Pecos County Sheriff's Office Patrol Cars Go High-Tech 10/26/12
According to the Fort Stockton Pioneer, the Pecos County sheriff's Office is going to spend $96,000 dollars to update the video equipment and software in their patrol cars.
The system called “Vid-Tac” allows officers to have high definition video in their cars for evidence purposes.
It also has onboard GPS and shows how fast the deputy is driving.
Vid-Tac will be installed in 24 vehicles and will allow information to be shared in real time.
The systems will be ordered January 1st.
