Early Morning Robbery at Odessa 7-11 10/25/12

At approximately 2:00 this morning, OPD officers responded to a robbery call at the 7-11 store, 800 North Grandview.
OPD reports that Raymond Ybarra entered the store, demanded money and threatened to harm the clerk. He then walked behind the counter and struck the clerk with his fist. Ybarra walked around to the front of the counter and grabbed a metal gum display and threw it at the clerk striking him in the hand. Ybarra grabbed three lighters and exited the store.
Ybarra was still on scene when officers arrived--sitting in the back seat of a vehicle that was parked by the gas pumps.
Ybarra was arrested and charged with robbery, felony 2nd degree and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
The clerk did not require medical treatment.
