Wednesday Morning Weather Update
Wednesday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect a warm and breezy day across the Permian Basin. Highs will climb into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s for most. Mid to upper 90’s can be expected in the usual hot spots. Winds will be out of the south at 15-25mph.
A cold front will drop south into the area around noon on Thursday. Temperatures at noon will be in the mid 70’s. Whatever your temperature happens to be at the time the front arrives, will be your high for the day. Temperatures will trend downward Thursday evening into the 40’s by Friday morning. Overcast skies will settle in behind the front and a slight chance of rain appears to be in the offing on Friday. High temperatures on Friday will be in the lower 50’s.
Overnight lows will be a concern on Friday and Saturday night. It appears that a light freeze will be possible over the northern row of counties each night and across the Marfa Plateau on Saturday night.
Highs will rebound into the 60’s and 70’s Sunday and beyond.
