5:20 PM UPDATE
TxDOT: East Loop 338 between Interstate 20 and Business Interstate 20 on the southeast side of Odessa will be closed until around 10 p.m..
While the spill is not a hazard to the public, the spill is significant. Odessa Police said that the spill is nonflammable lubricating oil.

Traffic Advisory: Due to the spillover of nonflammable lubricating oil on East Loop 338, the service road north and south bound traffic is closed from I-20 to Business 20 (Highway 80).
Time: 1440 hours
A 2005 Peterbilt driven by Joseph Curette, 41 years of age of Crosby, was traveling west bound on Interstate 20 making a right turn onto East Loop 338. Due to the weight of the load the tanker overturned and began leaking its content. The driver was not injured. The spill is that of lubricating oil and is not flammable and poses no health risk to the public.
