A new lead has investigators searching for answers in the case of missing Colorado City teenager Hailey Dunn.
According to the Colorado Police, it has been confirmed that Sonja Rene Callahan--a woman who was being held in an Ector County Courthouse holding cell-- wrote a letter to family members that may be linked to the two-year case.
They report that Callahan claims a 15-year-old girl was held captive in an Odessa home after having been kidnapped because her mother owed drug dealers money. She claims this happened in January 2011, a month after Hailey Dunn disappeared.
The letter goes on to explain how the girl was given drugs and eventually overdosed and died.
CBS 7 is in Colorado City today and we will continue to post information as it becomes available.
