Big Spring - Around 12:30 Sunday morning, Big Spring police were called to the 1300 block of Madison on a report of shots fired.
They discovered Juston Louis Martinez of Plainview had a gun he was showing to people when one of the people in the group said the gun looked familiar to him.
That's when police say, Martinez pointed the gun at the group and told everyone to stay back as he backed away.
He fired a round which hit an unoccupied vehicle and then got into a car occupied by three other people.
Martinez is said to have then pointed the gun at the driver and the vehicle left the area.
Witnesses believe Martinez had just stolen the gun from a house next door.
Around 2:00AM, a patrol officer found the vehicle and stopped it.
The gun was recovered and Martinez was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Deadly Conduct, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Martinez is now awaiting arraignment and further charges are pending.
