Big Spring, TX - The City of Big Spring is paying respects to a leader in their community.
According to our media partner KBST radio, former Big Spring Mayor Russ McEwen passed away early this morning.
He served the city of Big Spring for many years on the city council and a decade as mayor.
He is survived by his wife and three children and several grandchildren.
Many viewers are speaking out on Facebook, describing McEwen as an important leader and a positive voice in their community.
