"The New Juarez" Documentary Being Shown in Odessa 10/20/12

Odessa, TX - A new documentary about violence in Mexico is in theaters now.
"The new Juarez" premiered last night. It focuses on the recent decline of murders in the Ciudad Juarez.
This is the latest movie about the Mexican drug war by director Charlie Minn, who also directed the documentary "The Murder Capital of the World."
Minn says he always makes a point to show his film in Odessa since so many of the people that live here have a personal connection to the story.
"I've met quite a few that have family and friends in Juarez or El Paso,” Minn says. “We're only 4 hours away so that's why I bring it here."
The film will show through Monday at the Hollywood Theaters at Music City Mall. It plays every 2 hours starting at 12:15 in the afternoon.
