Friday Morning Weather Update 10/19/12

Sunny skies and warmer temperatures are expected this afternoon after a chilly start across West Texas. Highs will reach into the upper 70’s and lower 80’s for most this afternoon. A few of the usual hot spots will see the 90’s along the Rio Grande. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15mph.
Much warmer conditions will move into the area this weekend. Look for highs in the lower to mid 90’s on Saturday and Sunday. Skies will be partly cloudy on Saturday. Clouds will increase on Sunday as will the chance of thunderstorms. Some storms that develop on Sunday and Monday could be strong to severe. Stay tuned through the weekend for the latest on this developing system.
Once storms clear out of the area late Monday, expect highs in the 80’s under partly cloudy skies the rest of the week.
