UTPB Breaks Ground On New Student Housing 10/18/12

ODESSA, TX – University of Texas at Permian Basin officials broke ground on their on the new Student Housing Phase V building project. The apartment-style housing will provide 99 beds in 3 buildings. The new housing units will include a recreation/lounge area with a kitchen and study rooms

It will be completed for August 2013 occupancy. UTPB student housing had a 105% occupancy rate in Fall 2011. They expect to see a higher rate for the upcoming August 23, 2012 move-in.

The total project cost is $8,750,000 with funding from Revenue Financing System Bond Proceeds. Architects, Inc. and the Journeyman Construction Co. will begin construction on the Project.

UTPB officials say they plan to build another student housing complex that will provide 99 rooms by 2014.
