ODESSA, TX - A second person has died as a result of a crash on October 9th involving an ECISD school bus. According to Odessa Police 87 year old Katie Butler passed away yesterday, as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. Albert Butler also died from his injuries last week.
According to the accident report, Butler failed to yield the right of way and smashed into a Toyota Tundra before crashing with a light pole. The Toyota veered off and hit an ECISD school bus head-on. None of the students on the bus were injured.
According to the accident report, Katie Butler, the driver of the suburban was at fault. Police tell us the investigation has concluded.
