Sunny Skies But A Bit Cooler Today 10/18/12
Thursday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A pleasant October day is expected for the last day of the oil show and my daughter’s birthday. Happy Birthday Maddie!
Look for sunny skies this afternoon. Winds will shift from the north to the south at 5-10mph. A few gusts to around 15mph are possible through the middle of the day. Highs will top out in the upper 70’s to the lower 80’s.
Temperatures will drop into the 40’s tonight but will quickly climb into the 80’s on Friday afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny. However, a few clouds will start to return Friday afternoon.
Very warm conditions are expected over the weekend. Highs will top out in the lower 90’s on Saturday and Sunday. Clouds will increase across the region Sunday afternoon and there appears to be a chance of rain in the offing for locations west of the Pecos River on Sunday as well.
Rain and thunderstorm chances will spread east into the Permian Basin on Monday. Temperatures through early next week will drop into the 80’s.
