After a chilly start to the day, temperatures will climb into the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. This isn’t far removed from average. Moisture associated with Tropical Storm Paul in the Pacific will surge northward into southwest Texas. It appears that the best chance for rain will be south of I-10 this afternoon and tomorrow. High pressure over the southern Plain States will allow for dry conditions to prevail further north. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15mph.
Dry and warmer conditions will again continue on Tuesday and Wednesday. Breezy winds are expected on Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the north. This front will move through the area in the evening hours, bringing much cooler conditions to West Texas. Overnight lows will fall into the 40’s on Wednesday night. Highs will climb only to around 70 on Thursday afternoon.
Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will prevail this weekend.
