Two Alpine School Buses Collide on I-20, No Students Injured 10/11/12

Ector County - Some Alpine students had a rocky ride home Wednesday on their way back from a band tournmant in Odessa.
Two buses crashed into each other while heading west on I-20 near the Penwell exit.
Both buses were full with about 40 students.
According to one bus driver, they were trying to miss another vehicle that stopped in the middle of the road when the bus behind smashed into the back of the first bus.
No one was injured in the crash and there was minimal damage to the buses.
Monahans ISD allowed the school to use two of their buses to continue the trip to Alpine.
