6-Time DWI Offender Receives 15 Years Behind Bars 10/10/12

On October 4, 2012, visiting Judge James Rex sitting in the 142nd district court sentenced 40 year old Jaso Dax Creek, of Midland to 15 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after Creek had pled guilty to the felony offense of driving while intoxicated. Evidence showed that in August of 2011 Creek was driving recklessly on business 20 and running people off the road. Creek was subsequently arrested for DWI and his blood alcohol level shoed to be four times the legal amount (.32) in addition to prescription drug use. At the time of arrest, records showed that Creek was already on probation for felony DWI out of another county. This was Creek’s sixth DWI conviction. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Tommy Hull. Creek was defended by the Midland firm Brockett and McNeel.
