FORT STOCKTON, TX – Pecos County Sheriff’s Department receives $45,000 for fuel from the county.

Sheriff Cliff Harris says that the department had a fuel shortage because they’ve seen an increase in prisoners and the price of fuel fluctuates throughout the year.

Harris says they are trying to make it through the year with the current amount of money they have. However, they could seek more money to pay for food for prisoners.
