Midland 101 Enrollment Has Extended 10/9/12

The City of Midland is actively seeking interested citizens for the third class of Midland 101. Midland 101 is a program aimed at familiarizing citizens with the structure, function, and purpose of Midland government, and to equip and encourage them to assume a leadership role within the community.



Applications are now being accepted online or in person at City Hall, 300 N. Loraine. Class size is limited, so interested citizens are encouraged to apply as it is a first come first serve basis. Deadline for application is Friday, October 19, 2012.



Students must be at least 18 years of age; reside within the City of Midland city limits; registered to vote in Midland County; must not currently hold or be running for elected office in any city, school district, county, state, or federal governmental body; and must be able to make a commitment to attend meetings.



The class will meet once a month from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to learn about municipal government through presentations and tours.
