'Bark in the Park' Raises Alzheimer's Awareness
Head-On Crash Involving School Bus 10/9/12

Odessa Police Department:
OPD officers are on the scene of an accident involving two vehicles and a school bus. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling north on East Loop 338 followed by Toyota Tundra. The Tundra struck the Suburban from behind causing the Suburban to strike a pole. The Tundra veered off and struck an ECISD school bus. The school bus was transporting children from LBJ, there were 44 children on board, no injuries reported to the children or the bus driver. The driver of the Suburban, an 87 year old female and her passenger were transported to Medical Center Hospital.
This is all I have at this time. Officers still processing the scene.

We are told there were 44 students from LBJ Elementary School on bus 158. None of the students were injured in the crash. So far, half of the students have been picked up by their parents. If you need to pick up your child, school officials say you must provide identification.
