Warm Today... Cold Front Tomorrow 10/9/12
Tuesday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Much warmer conditions are expected across the area today. Skies will be mostly sunny and winds will be out of the SW through the day. This will kick highs into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s for most.
A cold front will drop into the region around sunrise or shortly before. This will bring a round of breezy north winds to the region early tomorrow. While winds will back down through the day, it looks like temperatures will struggle. Expect highs 10-15 degrees below today’s readings.
Clouds will increase across the area on Wednesday as an upper level low pressure system settles in to our west. Energy from this system will drift into West Texas through the end of the week. The net result will be rain chances increasing through at least Friday night and Saturday morning. In addition to the rain… Wind speeds will increase, especially on Friday. Temperatures will be in the 60’s at night and the 80’s in the afternoons. Rain chances appear to exit the region by Saturday night.
