LOS ANGELES (AP) - A gas station in Long Beach is charging $6.65 for a gallon of regular -- according to GasBuddy.com.
And while that may be the highest price in California, people across the state are paying more, on average, than people anywhere else in the United States for gas today.
Triple-A says a gallon of regular is averaging more than $4.65 -- the highest price ever in California.
Analysts say a power outage on Monday at a Southern California refinery reduced supply in an already fragile market.
One analyst says some relief is in sight, but not for a couple of days.
