ODESSA, TX - Odessa businesses are trying to recover after high floods forced them to temporarily close their doors.

"We got a lot of mud in the shop, so the water is going out. Now we need to clean it up," said Rigoberto Hernandez, Owner Nica's Auto Service.

"There’s nothing being done. There's 4 or 5 businesses just on this little road that get put on hold because of the issue," stated Owner West Texas Performance Daniel Vega.

For Daniel Vega much of his auto shop is still under water. He’s lost several important documents and has extensive damage to his office. Now the price to repair is adding up.

"[Car’s] carpets just got wet which is very bad for vehicles. They start smelling, start getting mildew. I'm going to have to pay for the vehicles to get fixed," stated Vega.

He stated the high floods took a toll on his service.

" It's just inconvenience for customers and they get really mad. I already lost about 3 or 4 jobs, because of this issue," said Vega.

Vega stated that the business is still in service and they're starting to work today. Currently they are looking for water pressure blower to clean out his shop.
