North Midland – Local groups come together to raise funds to better help pets in need in West Texas.
The Midland Coalition hosted the 2nd Annual “Furr Ball” this evening at the Midland Country Club. The event’s goal was to gather enough funds to expand the Adoption Center at the Midland PetSmart store and make it a place where they can be groomed before heading to their new home.
“It is an organization that tries to stop the euthanization of animals…adoptable pets here in Midland County. We will like to make Midland a no-kill county,” says Karen Orozco, Co-Chair of the 2nd Annual Furr Ball.
This year alone there have been a little over 600 pet adoptions thanks to the community and the organizations efforts.
