Ector County Escapee Convicted Of Murder 9/28/12

An Odessa man who twice escaped from the Ector County Detention Center has been convicted of the murder of another man back in 2009.
Rickey Lavell Taylor was convicted in the shooting death of Johnny Mackey in February of 2009.
Taylor was also convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Taylor also still faces two counts of escape after breaking out of the Ector County Detention Center.
