Local Fitness Center Makes Offer for Breast Cancer Awarenss Month 9/26/12

Odessa - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a local fitness club is offering a deal to educate women about breast cancer facts and risk management.
Curves of Odessa is offering $0.00 joining fee memberships from October 1st through October 14th to new members who show proof of a mammogram performed within the last year or if you donate $25 to the American Cancer Society.
Last year, Curves members raised more than $1.7M across the country for ACS.
Odessa Curves staff are quoted in press release saying, "Our annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign is an important part of the Curves mission to strengthen women. We offer a supportive, fun, non-competitive environment that encourages women to take time out from their role as caregivers to take
care of themselves."
Along with the $0.00 joining fee, Curves of Odessa is spreading the word on scheduling an annual doctor visit, perform monthly breast self exams, eat right and exercise.
Members will also have a chance to support research by joining fund raising efforts to honor the memory of breast cancer victims and celebrate current and future birthdays of survivors at a GirlTime "Birthday Celebration" Event.
