How Much Is Your Pet Worth? Texas Supreme Court to Debate Sentimental Value of Pets 9/26/12

On January 10th, the Texas Supreme Court will be hearing arguments on whether you can sue for the sentimental value of a pet instead of the market value.
This all stems from a case three years ago in Fort Worth where two people sued an animal shelter employee after their dog was mistakenly euthanized.
According to the Associated Press, a state district judge initially dismissed their sentimental value claim, but the 2nd Texas Court of Appeals reversed that decision.
