Odessa - The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is celebrating a job well done for their mentor program.
The program has helped at-risk students thrive in a college environment.
The mentor program admits up to 50 freshman students who do not meet all academic enrollment requirements.
The program grants the students "conditional" entrance into the institution and provides them customized assistance.
