Midland – The Samaritan Counseling Center of West Texas hosted their annual Families of The Year Event. This year’s theme is “Hope is in the Air”
The gathering at the CAF Commemorative Hanger is in honor of families who contribute to their organizations allowing the center to help those in need. This years families of the year are the Warner family of Andrews, the McKenzie family of Big Spring, the Rouse family of Midland, and the Sewell family of Odessa.
Our very own Tatum Hubbard and Jay Hendricks hosted the event. Attendees took part in a silent and live auction and were entertained by a live orchestra.
“This is our biggest fundraiser for our clients assisted fund where we help others who are in need of counseling who have no income, low income or no insurance at all. This fundraiser does that,” said Terri Stewart, Development Director of the Samaritan Council.
Last year the organization served 45 hundred clients and they are expecting a 10 to 15% increase this year.
