TYPE OF INCIDENT: Aggravated Robbery F-2
DATE/TIME OCCURRED: September 7, 2012 1849HRS
LOCATION: 3909 E. 42ND TARGET
SUMMARY/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: On September 14, 2012 officers with the Odessa Police Department responded to Target in reference to a Robbery, F-2. Two employees of Target reported that on September 7, 2012 at approx. 1849hrs they observed four subjects committing a theft. The loss prevention officer made contact with the subjects outside the store in an attempt to detain them when two of the subjects, a Hispanic female and Hispanic male, assaulted the Target employees.
On September 21, 2012, the Odessa Police Department Robbery/ Homicide unit received information from Crime Stoppers that assisted in identifying the four subjects that committed the robbery on September 7, 2012 at Target. The Odessa Police Department Robbery/ Homicide Unit investigation, information from Crime Stoppers and evidence obtained from the scene, led to the arrest of three subjects.
Municipal Court Judge D. Jones issued two arrest warrants for Daniel Aaron Veloz for Aggravated Robbery F-2.
Adult arrested:
The robbery warrants were served on Daniel Aaron Veloz, W/H/M, 07-13-1994, who is currently located at the Ector County LEC on separate charges.
Juveniles arrested:
The 15-year-old Hispanic female was transported to the Ector County Youth Center and charged with two counts of robbery F-2.
The 16-year-old Hispanic male, who is currently at the Ector County Youth Center on separate charges, was charged with two counts of Robbery F-2.
The fourth subject, who is a juvenile Hispanic female was identified, but was not located. The investigation is still on going.
