ODESSA, TX – Hundreds of west Texans came together, taking steps towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
The disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 in every 8 older American has the disease.
Organizers say this walk spreads awareness of the disease and connects families going through this difficult time with their loved one.
The highest fundraiser for the walk was the group " The Good Ones"; they earned more than $12,000.
