Exhibit Reunites Art JFK Saw Before Assassination 9/20/12

Associated Press
September 20, 2012

Dallas, Tx - An exhibit opening next year at the Dallas Museum of Art will reunite almost all of the works of art displayed in the Fort Worth hotel suite that President John F. Kennedy and first lady Jacqueline Kennedy stayed in the night before he was assassinated.

On the morning of Nov. 22, 1963, the Kennedys realized their room featured an extraordinary array of artwork - from a painting by Vincent van Gogh to a bronze by Pablo Picasso. The display was coordinated by prominent citizens of the city.

The exhibit will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the president's assassination in Dallas and will also feature photographs, videos and archival materials.

It will move to Fort Worth's Amon Carter Museum of American Art after the Dallas engagement.
