Odessa First to Put Enhanced Bike Trail Markings 9/18/12

Odessa, TX - One West Texas city is making strides to help keep bicyclists safe on the roadways.
The City of Odessa hired a traffic safety company to put bright green thermo plastic markings on area bike trails.
One was installed Tuesday morning on Maple north of University.
Officials with the company installing the markings say they are also made to be more durable than paint, to help motorists be more aware, and pay attention to where biking lanes are located.
The new green markings in Odessa are the first of its kinds to be installed in west Texas.
