UNDATED (AP) - There's crushing news for the Washington Redskins as two defensive starters are out for the season. End Adam Carriker and two-time All Pro linebacker Brian Orakpo are done after suffering injuries in Sunday's loss to St. Louis.
Coach Mike Shanahan has told reporters that Orakpo suffered another tear of the pectoral muscle near his left shoulder, while Carriker tore the quad tendon at the base of his right knee.
The Redskins now have to replace two defensive starters on a team that has allowed 63 points in its first two games.
