Alzheimer's Workshop Encourages Engagement 09/15/12

Midland – A Midland group is helping families care for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease.
Today, Home Instead Senior Care hosted a workshop as part of their “CARE” program. The workshop series is a free training for area families that teaches caregivers and family members how to deal with the difficult behavioral changes that often are associated with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
“Even with memory loss and even with some other behaviors that come along with memory loss they can still be functional people and we are providing them moments of happiness and joy to their daily lives,” says Director of Home Instead Senior Care, Caitie Chapman.
