More than 1,300 Effected By Midland Power Outage 9/14/12

MIDLAND, TX - At approximately 11:41pm all power was put back on.

Sue Mercer, with ONCOR, says that ONCORE crews successfully restored the feeder.

"Looks like the cause was a failed main line cable," stated Mercer.

Mercer stated It was difficult to find the source of the outage at first.

Update: 10:49PM

MIDLAND,TX - Sue Mercer with ONCOR says only 620 PEPLE are effected by the power outage and they are still searching for the source of the problem.

She stated that the orginial number was a miscaculation.

MIDLAND, TX – There is a large power outage in Midland. About 1,300 customers are effected by the outage.

The outage is located near Loop 250 and Highway 191.

ONCOR employees are out in Midland trying to fix the problem.

“We have a feeder locked out in a part of Grassland in west Midland, and we don’t have a reason yet,” stated Sue Mercer with ONCOR.

Mercer says they are still trying to determine the cause of the outage.
