Midland - A Midland water reclamation services company has signed a contract with Ranchland Hills Golf Club to design and build a water desalination facility to produce 700,000 gallons of water a day to maintain the greens and fairways on the golf course.
It will work by converting brackish well water to the equivalent of rain water.
The equipment is expected to be delivered in 10 to 12 weeks.
STW Resources CEO Stanley Weiner is quoted in a release saying, "By cleaning up brackish water to use in watering the golf course, Morrow and Leary (Owners of the Ranchland Hills Golf Club) are saving the scarce water resources of West Texas. They are demonstrating that they are conservation minded and good stewards of the Midland community."
