Fort Stockton, TX – The Fort Stockton police force has a new S.W.A.T. team. The team consists of 5 members and the S.W.A.T. team commander. The commander of the S.W.A.T. team, Sergeant Chris Orona, said they train with the Pecos S.W.A.T. team frequently.
Orona stated that having the team would help protect those living in Fort Stockton. He said this would help because locals wouldn’t have to wait for outside teams to come in during a major emergency.
He stated they plan to assign positions soon. The Fort Stockton S.W.A.T. has a bright yellow army humvee to use during major emergencies.
