McCamey - McCamey was host today to 12-six man football teams.
The Third Annual West Texas Shoot Out was held to promote scholarships for students.
The money raised today provides scholarships to current seniors and pays the way for several field trips to college campuses.
The principal of McCamey High says the event is a great way to showcase West Texas football and send our students to college.
"We're giving back to our kids here at the school with the money we make here,” Jay McWilliams, McCamey High School Principal said. “It's also a great thing for our town. We have a lot of people watch and they go eat in town and it's good for our junior class to run."
Organizers hope to raise at least $6,000 at the end of tonight's shootout.
