Construction Delays for 14.1M Rest Stop 8/31/12

Pyote, TX - Five months later the set opening date, the $14.1 million dollar rest stop near Pyote is still under construction.
Contractors tell CBS 7 it is difficult to house the employees, and the weather also played a part to why they didn’t meet their personal opening date in April.
Despite the roadblocks, the work is almost completely done.
TxDOT says the rest stop would be open by this month, but the roads to the area are still closed.
This is the only rest area for more than 100 miles.
TxDOT could fine the contractors for not finishing on time.
