Andrews, TX – The City of Andrews is one step closer to finishing their truck route.
The Andrews city council says the new truck reliever route should help with the overwhelming traffic citizens are experiencing.
Andrews Chief of police says from working accidents to traffic violations they are stretched thin.
He says the department is in the process of hiring an officer with a new unit to focus solely on traffic.
The city manager Glen Hackler says the construction is ahead of time, they say the route should be finished next summer.
