Rain Chances South of I-10 Today 8/29/12

Conditions today will be very similar to those of yesterday. Look for partly cloudy skies and NE winds. Highs will reach into the lower 90’s for most. Expect 80’s in the mountains and mid 90’s in the usual hot spots. There will be a chance of rain today across the southern counties. Look for rain in the Presidio Valley, Big Bend and Lower Trans Pecos. Locations north of I-10 will be dry this afternoon.
Dry air will continue to move into the region tonight, through the weekend. Expect warm afternoons and cooler mornings through Friday. Over the weekend, sunny skies will prevail. Highs will reach into the upper 90’s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
A slight chance of rain may return to the forecast late next week.
Hurricane Isaac has been slowly moving over southern LA this morning. Heavy rains and strong winds will continue to batter areas from Mobile, AL to East Texas. Look for major flooding in the LA and AR today. Isaac will slowly drift north into the weekend, producing heavy rains through the Mid-West and Ohio River Valley.
